APPROACH
 Conquest Consulting Group takes a
collaborative team approach in working with our clients to optimize their
owner estimating and cost engineering capabilities. We want to provide the most cost effective
and value adding solutions towards meeting your needs.
We consider the first step in a new
consulting assignment as the most important - the assessment of needs. Our
consultants will work with you to analyze your current estimating and
project control methods,
data, and tools; and to identify your present and long-term improvement
needs. Meeting with the appropriate personnel, from management to
supervision to staff, we develop a clear assessment of what you do well,
and identify opportunities for improvement.
Based on the needs assessment, we
work with you to develop a plan and path forward towards a world-class
owner estimating and project controls organization. This plan will take into account
your procedures and standards, techniques and methods, tools and software applications,
data, and organizational structure. We work with you to identify the range of
cost engineering capabilities that you want to
keep in-house versus outsource; and incorporate this into the plan.
Clients may have different needs and requirements, and the plan is
tailored to fit your capital project requirements.
We then work with you towards
implementing the identified improvements. We can help you to quickly
develop an estimating and project controls infrastructure and organization, and the tools and
data to enable best-in-class owner capabilities. We can develop
training materials for your organization, or provide training directly to
your personnel. Our goal is to help you take control of your estimating
and project controls process, and achieve the capabilities to make informed project
decisions so that you become a leader in capital project performance.
We can provide on-going staff augmentation to you to supplement your internal resources, and to
help you meet fluctuating project needs. We can also provide independent
estimate review and validation studies for "cold eyes" review of
estimates prepared by your staff or your contractors.
